Gelliwig Residential Centre
A residential centre in Porthmadog, North Wales, Gelliwig can accommodate up to 30 people and can be used by youth groups and other voluntary organisations.
The centre was established in memory of two former teachers of Colton Hills School, Mr Graham Birch and Mr John Thompson, who both sadly died of heart attacks in 1980.

Queens Award for Volunteering
We are very pleased to announce that the Birch Thompson Memorial Fund Charity have been awarded a Queens Award in 2020, one of only 230 organisations from across the UK that have been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service this year. This is indeed a great honour for the Charity.
A special thank you to those school members who volunteer their time to provide the house and charitable services at Gelliwig.
